What would you like me to talk about?

I don’t post for 4-5 days (over a weekend and a holiday no less…) and get a number of different people asking if I have stopped blogging again.

My recent policy has been to use this blog to vent frustration or to address issues or just to ramble about something that interests me - over the last few days I just have not had anything interesting to share.

Here is your chance to make requests for topics you would like for me to write about. No promise I will have any insight into your request, but if I have anything to say I will try and put it into a future post.

A few caveats - I am not the person to listen to for SEO or scripting or anything terribly technical. I am fairly knowledgeable about PPC, landing pages, ad copy, white labels, Google, Yahoo, MSN, display ads, testing of everything, why affiliate networks are a bad thing for affiliates or just about anything dealing with paid ads on the internet.

So what would you like me to talk about?

Most of what you read about on the net revolves around people’s great successes or about how awesome they are compared to everyone else. I’m one of those awesome people :-P. How about telling us about your failures/mistakes that you’ve made in your internet ventures. The best way to avoid mistakes is by making them or hearing about others making them…

How many keywords do you and your team actively manage (bid manage, etc) in an average campaign. For the keywords you are actively managing, what is your process methodology? Insights into bid management would be a great topic. Discussions about various bid strategies would be appreciated too :)

How about business issues for super affiliates? Like relationships with advertisers/merchants, partnerships, employees, outsourcing, etc.

Could you expand on your advice on the Content network that you talked about in the post (What would you do if you were just starting out?, #3 under, Things I would do)

What did you mean about landing directly on the merchants page with out having domains or LPs? Did that mean your ad would show up in the google adsense displayed on the merchants page? Then you just send the traffic direct to the merchant?

    Thanks

The reason I originally subscribed was due the the excellent and unusual information you posted on landing pages and PPC. eg: The White usage and its effect as well as the words you used to increase CTR. The little things like that. More please. :)

Keyword research. Definitly one of the core elements in any successful PPC campaign.

I’d actually love to know a little of your background and identity - I’m looking to set up a series of interviews at Platinax covering various internet industries, and you’ve certainly projected the impression of someone who seriously understands PPC - but at present I have no context by which to interview you. :)

    How about…

Where to find or how to set up white label deals, what to look for etc.

Competition monitoring (this is one of the things I don’t think I spend nearly enough time on).

A lot more, I’ll probably ask more later, thanks.

Content. Content. Content. Can’t make a substantial dent in PPC without it. Where do you get it from? How do you organize it? How much of it do you add yourself vs paid?

Love the blog. The only blog that I really look forward to reading when I see a new post.

One thing that I’d love to read more about is your view on CPM ad buys. For me, coming from the ppc side of things and trying to move into CPM buys, I’ve found that things can get tricky. But, there is real volume in CPM, especially with products/services that have a broad appeal. So what factors would you consider when making a CPM buy?
