Ska-Doosh
It is Father’s Day weekend and as part of my gift, my kids and I went to see KungFu Panda. Pretty funny movie that I enjoyed and so did my kids.
Like many of the kids movies, this one had a pretty simple moral underlying the humor. That moral was basically that “there is no secret ingredient”.
Again and again in life, I have seen people who are on the outside of an industry trying to get inside looking for the secret to how to do something.
Affiliate/Internet marketing is no different. Read on boards or blogs and it seems that most people are looking for the secret of how to make money out of nothing with no effort.
The truth of life and internet marketing is that there are rarely secret ingredients. The people who succeed do so as a result of hard work, perseverance, intelligence and a little bit of luck - not because they have some secret keyword list or way to scam Google or that hidden niche that noone knows about.

Amen. Happy Father’s Day, btw. I got my kid a kung fu panda stuffed animal - she’s not old enough to watch a movie, but just old enough to walk around with it & call it “baby”. What a great day.
Thanks for mentioning this to folks. I wasted a good year or two of my career looking for “secret ingredients” (without the “no work” aspect) and what happened was that I kept learning, learning, learning, but did not apply. You’re right, everyone (generally) has access to the same knowledge or opportunities - it’s just what they make of them.
Good to see the blog back - Hope dallas is treating you all well. Used to live in Plano myself back in the 70s to mid 80’s & just noticed they have street view “all the way out there”. Wow - area has blown up. Plano was 15,000 people and basically a big field back then.

Thanks for reiterating this message, Diorex… it is so true. Like the commenter above, I wasted about two years chasing gimmicks and other “secrets”. What a waste of time.
It’s all about trying/experimenting, testing, and tweaking from observed data…rinse and repeat… (I’m learning

I loved that movie, the trick from the movie was to find something that you love(in pandas case food) or niche; use it as a motivation to become a better fighter marketer, parent or son. I am loved the fact that dreamworks were so commited to authentic fighting all around in the movie. You could tell someone busted their ass on that movie, loads of fun so what happened to pixar lol.
Good to have you back diorex, whether you are posting about superdelegates or taking over the world hehe keep the blog alive.

His enemies went blind from over-exposure to pure awesomeness!
Loved this movie. One of the best animations in quite a while. And you’re right!
PS: The hardest part is cleaning up the mess.
