Does this prove anything…
David Pasternak and Did-It have been catching a lot of heat lately for his scathing comments about SEO not being rocket science. I will be among the first to admit I know absolutely nothing about SEO or David Pasternak for that matter. I have a really good in-house SEO who just does what he does. I have a policy of “Dont ask, Dont Tell” when it comes to SEO.
I wrote about how stupid I thought this was awhile back. I still feel that way. Why would you not want traffic from both sources?
Funny thing is that now my little no Page Rank, no authority, no history, no inbound links, no SEO, no nothing blog is now ranking for what I would have thought is a fairly competitive term that much more accomplished SEO’s are competing for. “David Pasternak” Seo (5th on Google), I am also ranking for the same search without quotes (15th).
Now, I am pretty sure that nobody but Dave and SEO’s trying to prove him wrong would bother with such a search, but I am getting some traffic from writing almost nothing about it.
I like traffic, it makes me feel like I am not shouting into an empty canyon. I just find it strange what I get traffic for….

Ok. All this proves is that it is easy to rank for a word noone else is trying to rank for. Apparently Dave spells his last name PasternaCk.
My misspelling and those of lots of other searchers means I rank for it. Oh well, there goes my one shot at being an SEO Expert.
